miRNA是一類具有調控功能的非編碼小RNA，主要通過與靶基因mRNA 3’UTR完全或不完全互補配對而調控靶基因的表達。pmiR-RB-Report?載體是專門用來檢測miRNA作用的檢測工具，將基因的3’UTR區克隆至載體海腎螢光素酶基因(hRluc)下游，作為海腎螢光素酶基因的3’UTR序列隨海腎螢光素酶轉錄表達，故可以海腎螢光素酶基因作為報告基因，以螢火蟲螢光素酶基因(hLuc)作為內參基因，通過檢測海腎螢光素酶活性的相對變化情況來鑒定miRNA對該基因是否有調控作用。
